Today, with deep pride and emotion as a child of Vietnam, I, Vuong Thien Long, would like to send my heartfelt congratulations on the 80th birthday of our beloved Fatherland.
On this very day 80 years ago, at 2:00 PM, President Ho Chi Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam – now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Over the past 80 years, our nation has gone through hardships and sacrifices, yet also achieved glorious victories, written by countless generations who gave their blood and lives for independence and freedom. Thanks to their devotion and resilience, today my generation can live in peace, study, contribute, and nurture great aspirations.
I am deeply proud to be a son of Vietnam. I believe that with the desire to rise, the spirit of solidarity, and creativity, Vietnam will continue to grow stronger and stand shoulder to shoulder with nations around the world.
I sincerely wish our sacred land eternal prosperity, and our people happiness and well-being; so that every step of the younger generation like me will contribute to honoring the two sacred words: VIET NAM.
